Sapphire ECG

Cardiac Telemetry system
The Sapphire ECG system is a single channel (Lead II) ECG telemetry system designed for the monitoring and diagnostic investigation of animals.
Data is transmitted from a small transmitter worn by the animal to a USB-powered receiver, delivering real-time data directly into your PC or laptop. ECG data is at full diagnostic quality suitable for a cardiac work-up or research purposes.

The Sapphire system is designed for use in the following situations:
1) Post-op monitoring, e.g equine colic or gastric dilatation in dogs
2) Anaesthetic monitoring - either to a patient-side laptop or to a centralised monitoring station
3) Real-time ambulatory monitoring/Holter monitoring for investigation of ECG abnormalities
4) Tread mill investigations

The fully featured Windows software allows ECG's to be recorded directly to the hard drive of a PC or laptop. Events can be marked on the ECG as they happen as an aid to interpretion later. The software has alarms for high and low heart rates and automatically displays a heart rate trend graph. ECG parameter measurement is simple and quick by means of a mouse and ECG segments can be printed or copied to clipboard.

The Sapphire ECG System combines all the elements of a diagnostic quality ECG unit with the features of a sophisticated ECG monitor, all in a small 30g package.

Please note that a free demo version of the VitalStore software is available to download. Click the Downloads button on this page and then download the Demo software (approx 1MB). Then unzip the package and run Setup.exe to install the software on your PC.
The setup program may need to download further elements from our web site if not already installed on your computer. This can take 10-15 minutes with a broad band connection.
