Integrated Vital Signs Monitoring
VitalScan incorporates Pulse-Oximetry, NIBP, Respiration, Temperature monitoring and end-tidal CO2 monitoring in a single package controlled from your PC or laptop. The dedicated Windows™ software gives instant visual feedback on all your monitoring options and there are alarms available for every system monitored. This gives you an at-a-glance appraisal of your patient and provides the very best possible care for anaesthetised animals.

Pulse-Oximeter
Method: Dual light beam, transmission or reflective assessment.

Heart rate range: 18 –450 bpm

Dynamic range: 0-100% (within specified accuracy from 70-100%)

Probe types: Transmission/clip type and reflective/flat type

Alarm settings: full range high and low options

Status indicator: green – good reliable signal

Yellow – signal of doubtful or poor quality

Red – no signal or unusable signal

Display values: Saturation percentage, heart rate, and signal quality



NIBP Monitor
Method: Oscillometric non invasive

Measurements: Systolic, Diastolic and Mean arterial pressure

Dynamic range: up to 245mmHg

Heart rate range: 20 –275 bpm

Maximum time for reading: 120 seconds

Automated repeat time: Minimum 3 minutes, maximum 99 minutes

Alarm settings: High and low for Systolic, Diastolic and MAP

Patient size: kittens to large dogs

Display values: Systolic, Diastolic, MAP, heart rate, time to next measurement, cuff pressure & deflate rate

Additional features: Learning ability, to reduce measurement time



Respiration Monitor
Method: In-line temperature sensor in 15mm T-connector

Range: 0-120 breaths per minute

Alarm settings: High and low breathing rates, Apnoea time (1-300 seconds)

Display values: Breaths per minute and time since last breath in seconds



Temperature Monitor
Method: fully encapsulated thermistor

Use: oral, rectal or cloacal. Cleanable.

Range: 85.1F to 110.4F

Alarm settings: full range, high and low alarms

Display values: temperature in Fahrenheit or Centigrade
