ECG3 Analyser is simple to use. Four cables attached to the animal provide information on the six limb leads I,II,II, aVL, aVF and aVR. The ECG is displayed on the computer screen in real time and can be paused at any time to select a representative portion for analysis. Between four and ten complexes are selected using a mouse and then immediately analysed. The analysis results for each complex are displayed in a clear table that shows all of the 10 parameters measured – P-height, P-duration, PR interval, R-height, QRS-duration, Q-T interval, Q/S/T-height and R-R interval. Parameters outside of the normal range are highlighted and the suggested diagnoses listed. For every diagnosis listed there is information on the ECG appearance, clinical characteristics, treatment, long-term follow up and further reading references. The patient ECG can then be saved as a file on the hard drive for future use. A report can be printed to include all of the ECG information or customised to individual requirements. All of this can be done in less than five minutes.
